"This is a great and useful product, but must be turned to European mode to reach 87.7 - 87.9 since for some reason Griffin thinks that they are not allowed to use these frequencies (they are).
On the FM transmitter box, push the middle button (Function) and then press and hold the "Mode" button (the right one) for approximately 10 seconds. When you let go you will see a menu for "Us" "Eu" "Ja", select the middle button, "Eu". Let the device sit for a few seconds until it goes back to the main screen, then tune your radio and the transmitter to 87.7 - 87.9! Now you can use the device on the frequencies that will rarely give you interference (I have the best luck in St. Louis with 87.7)."

"After a month, I am very satisfied with the price and performance. I followed the reviewer's directions to set the unit to International, and preset the radio and iTrip to 87.9. I live in the suburb of a big city, and have only had fuzzy reception once, very briefly. I didn't bother to seek another station, because it passed so quickly. It has not been tested outside this metro area, and a month is way too soon to rate durability. So far, so good!"

simply an amazing stuff. You can listen to your Mp3 Player through the car stereo speakers with it, it works with all Mp3 Players with 3.5mm headphone Jack, with Usb port on 12V Power Adapter. It's called "auto" because it gets its power from the car's 12 Volt accessory outlet. And "universal" because it works with any portable audio device that has a standard 1/8" headphone jack (including CDs, MP3s, cassettes, and yes, even iPod).
Additionally, the "Plus" in this iTrip model is the ability to charge your player by means of a built-in USB port. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so pleased with this product that I had to do it. I have owned several FM transmitters (Griffin, Belkin) and always found them to be very annoying with having to change channels constantly. With this one I drove all the way across New York State and never changed the channel once. There was very little hissing and interference. Moreover, the holder is very handy and adjusts to many different sized ipods. I have a Touch, I didn't try it on other kinds. Great product! (Even has a remote, which I will probably lose, but it's still nifty)"
